FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dabisoft, Inc. Gets a New Look.

(New York, January 8, 2001) - Dabisoft, the New York-based web design and programming provider greets the new millennium with a fresh face. In order to best reflect the latest growth and experience of the company, Dabisoft has redesigned its look, which includes a touch-up to the logo and a new tagline - "Solutions Fit to Scale". Dabisoft owes its new and improved design to Aaron McDannell, who recently joined the Dabisoft team as Creative Director, and Eric Terchila, copywriter for FCB worldwide, who developed the tag line.

Aaron McDannell joined Dabisoft in September of last year. His goal at Dabisoft is to bring a high-end visual marketing department to meet the firm's work in back-end technology. At his last position as Creative Director at btldesign, he directed award-winning projects for clients such as Lucent Technologies, MasterCard and Samsung. His discipline in color, typography and design can be traced back to his education at the Cooper Union School in New York City, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts.

"When designing an identity for a company, the most important thing is to convey the correct message clearly." Said Aaron McDannell, "That is how I came to define the DABISOFT corporate colors as Black and White. It seemed to fit what Dabisoft is as a company. It's that simple. That's the kind of company we are. We don't like to get muddled in grey areas. We believe in good and evil, Democrats and Republicans, peanut butter and jelly. Like a good solution, black and white never go out of style."

In order to resolve problems in creating tonality and defining hierarchies of information, two main elements were added to the system. The first are the patterns - "DOThard" and "DOTsoft". They are described in Dabisoft's branding guidelines as follows:

Our patterns are simplicity and complexity simultaneously. They are simply just a dot, repeated over and over to create a complex pattern that from a distance looks gray through a complex process of optical mixing.

DOTSOFT and DOTHARD enable us to give tonality, texture and the illusion of gray tones, while remaining true to ourselves -black and white.

The other elements added are the secondary colors. For the supplemental colors, Dabisoft looked to something a little more eternal than the latest trends in fashion for inspiration. Dabisoft's secondary colors are inspired by (and named after) the four seasons. Four sets of three colors were chosen to be used very sparingly to compliment/offset Dabisoft's primary Black and White identity.

"Overall I think we have created a strong identity for Dabisoft," says Mr. McDannell, "It is a classic, eternal id that uses time tested typography and elements with details that define us as a cutting technology company."
