The Kitchen Sink...
FAST!
Cardmine came to Dabisoft with its business
plan and needed its entire application backend developed. With its primary
client Proctor and Gamble (P&G) ready to launch its Bosswoman
fragrance, Cardmine needed its viral sampling application running FAST. To
complicate matters, Cardmine had to answer not only to Hugo Boss's strict branding
guidelines, but had to work in conjunction with Grey Interactive, P&G's Internet
agency. And as one last touch, the site had to be developed in five languages
(French, German, Spanish, Italian, and English).
Dabisoft, using Grey Interactive's design, created the sampling sub-site of bosswoman.com
bosswoman.cardmine.net
. This was the user interface to the vast back end that Dabisoft was developing.
At the same time, Dabisoft created a dynamic printing application. This
would allow all the information collected from Cardmine websites to be printed
on high quality digital printers. This complex software system that utilized Perl
and C++ with database connectivity resides at multiple printing company locations
on high-end servers. Additionally, Dabisoft created an administration tool for
Cardmine to review the number of postcards created and printed. This gave them
the ability to audit where the postcards were mailed to help monitor and reduce
all the variable costs Cardmine would incur.
Dabisoft, Inc. was successful and has not missed any of the tight deadlines set
forth by Cardmine and its clients. Cardmine, as well, is thriving and reselling
this software to additional clients, including several clients in Europe.
Most recently the system was showcased at the Detroit Motor Show for BMW. Furthermore,
P&G was so enthralled with the results that they extended this sampling to
three of its other brands (in Germany and France).
Cardmine and Dabisoft continue its successful relationship, as Cardmine relies
on Dabisoft to deliver technology and solutions for both its US and German offices
and multinational clients. |
